The career stands out for its investigative character and the active participation of its students in this type of event at different levels. It has a high presence in the media and outreach activities both from the community and communicative to the culture. It has 2 groups of student scientific work linked to the theory and practice of journalism in the central region. The cloister has managed to combine experience contributed by the professionals of the union and the youth of its graduates.
The objective of the degree is to train a professional who, in addition to communicating reality through the written, radio, television, and digital press, is capable of thinking about that reality, using transdisciplinary perspectives from the Theory of Communication, Philosophy, Politics, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, and other branches of knowledge.
