International twinning and exchange
Since its inception, the Jam Academy has been managed with the unique goal of creating a recognized music center throughout Italy as a school of excellence and high professionalism. Our Anglo-Saxon musical teaching (MAD - Music Aptitude Development methodology), the systematic setting of the internal organization, has enabled Jam Academy to grow over the years both in terms of numbers and in terms of international recognition and accreditation.
Since 2016 we have set up an international exchange program (overseas twinning) between foreign students and the Academy of Music Jam Academy. The school is located in one of the main Italian cities, cradle of world music culture: Lucca (Tuscany) is the birthplace of the famous master conductor Giacomo Puccini.
The twinning program develops over a defined period of time within which students will have the opportunity to study and live our academy and our city. The study plan and all the musical activities are defined in detail with our teaching staff, according to the needs and the training goals of the twin institute.
This is for us a twin
Our interchange program aims to promote international collaboration and cultural / musical exchange between the world's music academies and Jam Academy. The program focuses on three key principles: learning (improving your musical skills through study and practice using our MAD teaching methodology: Music Aptitude Development), knowing (discovering our culture, our habits, and our city) and Share (find out how comparing with a different culture helps to define one's own).
We strongly believe in the formation value of the interchange experience and all of our strengths are centered so that students can spend an unforgettable period of study.
How to organize a twin
The foreign music academy or academy interested in organizing an interchange with Jam Academy can request a Skype appointment with our reseller of the program by emailing [email protected] or by calling +39 0583 957566.
The definition of the program goes through the knowledge of some of the key points: the number of participating students, the musical instruments that interest, the period of perms, the realization or not of shows at the closing of the course and any guided tours (Teatro del Giglio di Lucca, birthplace of Giacomo Puccini, etc.).
Logistics and costs
Once the request is made, our work team will define a didactic and logistical proposal for the realization of the interchange. Jam Academy deals with all aspects of the didactic proposal, the organization of lessons within the academy, the completion of end-of-course shows and any guided tours. Unless otherwise agreed, accommodation searches and travel logistics are the responsibility of the foreign institution or academy.
A unit cost per student will be defined including all the aspects defined in the agreement. Our intent has always been to offer state-of-the-art musical education, a continuous search for the best teaching methodologies, and we are convinced that we offer this at an appropriate and competitive cost.
