Introduction
The objective of the Degree in Engineering in Telecommunication Technologies is to train professionals at the forefront of technological knowledge and professional skills in telecommunications engineering, allowing students to specialize in one of the four basic technologies that support the Information Society: systems telecommunication, electronic systems, telematics, sound and image. The solid training that the student body acquires provides them with the ability to adapt to a sector in continuous evolution.
The degree has the EUR-ACE® accreditation, considered the most prestigious that an engineering degree granted in Europe can obtain. Sponsored by the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE, European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education), it guarantees the quality of engineering study programs in Europe.
The internationalization plan allows students to study the fourth year entirely in English. The degree includes more than 50% practical training, between laboratory and team work. The temporary configuration of the study plan stands out, which facilitates the national and international mobility of the student body in the last year or the realization of internships in companies.
Among its own characteristics, we have: (1) a mentoring program (MEET-Teleco) that provides transversal skills (group management, time planning, empathy, emotional and social intelligence, leadership, etc.) in addition to helping the new student body in their incorporation to the university; (2) an employment orientation program (OrientaTE) that facilitates access to the labor market in a degree in which the level of unemployment is testimonial; (3) multiple activities that allow our students to develop their social skills while consolidating their technical knowledge.
