A fundamental fact must first be made clear: the Faculty of Letters is not just a place to study literature. Philosophy, religion, history, language, art, and social sciences are included among the wide range of subjects that can be studied here. -

The goal of the Tokyo Tech Academy of Energy and Informatics is to develop Multi-Scope･Energy WISE Professionals who will help realize a sustainable, human-centric energy society free of usage constraints such as costs and CO2 emissions. This will involve using tools for the intelligent use of energy, such as AI-based big data analysis. After mastering multidisciplinary energy science, these individuals will transform and design this new energy society using big data science and their social design skills. We will achieve this through the Tokyo Tech Academy of Energy and Informatics program. Developing Multi-Scope･Energy WISE Professionals will enhance the quality of Tokyo Tech’s research in the field of Integrated Energy Science, one of our primary fields, as well as develop WISE Professionals capable of succeeding in the field. Achieving these two ends will also help us attain the goal of our Designated National University proposal, which is to drive Tokyo Tech’s research quality to world-leading levels. This is why Tokyo Tech is devoting all its resources to cultivating and sending out Multi-Scope･Energy WISE Professionals into the world. -

The Faculty of Science is a place for education and research on science. Science is a study that engages in a “dialogue with Nature” to understand the principles and laws working in the natural world. We strive to unravel the mysteries of nature, starting by asking simple questions such as “Why?” and “How?” The principal incentives to do most research activities lie in pure interest, and human wisdom has been accumulated in this manner for many generations. -

The Faculty of Education researches into ways of promoting activities that encourage people to learn, grow and develop. It also investigates from various angles the roles of kindergartens, elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools, special education schools, universities, and other educational institutions on the development of societies and cultures, as well as how education supports the well-being of people and the betterment of society as a whole. -
