The study of economics is one which is very valuable to today’s society. How can economic change in the past help us understand future sustainable development? This programme combines the fields of economic history and economics. While the scope is global, the Scandinavian experience will be central. You will use concepts and theories from the social sciences to study the development of different economies and understand them in their social, political and cultural contexts. You will also examine important global issues, for example, mechanisms driving economic growth and development over time. Semester five gives you plenty of options regarding your course selection. You can study in Sweden, or study abroad as an exchange student. Alternatively, you could do an internship to gain practical skills and to prepare you for your future career. -
