This multi-disciplinary program provides opportunities for you to understand a number of important issues facing Canada’s agri-food sector including; the improvement of traditional foods and food processing; the development of novel functional foods and nutraceuticals using advanced technologies and the conversion of underutilized agriculture materials into value-added bioproducts.

This program aims to prepare ministry leaders by combining graduate courses in leadership studies (9 credit hours) and biblical and theological studies (9 credit hours). These courses can later be applied to a graduate degree program.

You will learn the chemical and physical nature of foods, causes of food deterioration, the basis of food safety, and principles of food processing, preservation, and packaging. You will examine what’s happening to meet consumer demand for nutrition, debate issues of food additives versus natural foods, learn about natural toxicants and research new methods of detecting unsafe or unwholesome food.

Our 4-year B.Comm. the degree helps students develop the critical thinking, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills that employers demand. In 2017, 93% of graduates were employed in their field within 6 months of graduation.
