Introduction
Bachelor in Education
After four years of study, you can go to the Danish "Folkeskolen", ie Elementary and secondary school, working as a teacher in three subjects. You will receive high quality theoretical training and complete an 18-22 week supervised internship at a school during your studies.
In the first year you can choose between English and German. You will be placed in a class of Danish students who speak English or want to teach German as a foreign language. You will also be expected to take courses in general educational and cultural subjects in English. You will also complete an intensive Danish course.
From the second year you follow the usual Danish language curriculum.
In the final year, you can choose your third subject from a range of options as you wish.
The academic year runs from mid-August to mid-December (fall semester) and from January to mid-June (spring semester). Exams take place in June. The 42nd and the 7th week are vacation or self-study.
