Introduction
The Degree in Social Work aims to train technicians of Social Work / Social Workers, according to the definition in the National Classification of Occupations.
The training provided will be developed through the following structural dimensions of knowledge (knowledge, know-how and know-be), including: - Know and apply the conceptual frameworks of the human person, constructed by the various social sciences and humanities; -Know The social and societal, national and community reality; - Apply techniques, strategies, procedures and specific instruments of social work with individuals, groups and organizations, not only in optical remediative but also preventive; -Be Able to participate and lead the construction, development and monitoring of social intervention projects, global and specific; -Adotar A personal attitude of strict professional ethics and respect for human rights and social justice values, and be fully aware of the link between its role as a professional and the citizen, particularly as a social change agent; Develop skills of participation and teamwork leadership, an optical inter- and transdisciplinary; Develop a professional attitude and permanent updating of research, actively collaborating in research-action projects.
In addition to these capabilities, the degree in Social Work must be able to communicate with various audiences, including: the presentation and discussion of information, ideas, problems and solutions; autonomy in learning and ability to critically reflect on their own practice and learn new skills on an ongoing basis; the ability to diagnose problems and use different qualitative and quantitative models in analyzing complex situations with a view to decision-making; the ability to integrate and work together, showing responsibility, initiative and tolerance; and the ability to act according to ethical principles and social responsibility.
