Curriculum
As part of your course you’ll:

If you take a paid work placement in your third year, you’ll develop and enhance your employability skills. Previous students have completed placements with companies including BP, Panasonic, GE Capital and Bentley Motors.
Our guest lecture series will help support your development. Past speakers include the CEO of the London Stock Exchange, the Chief Executive of the British Bankers Association and the Chief Economist of Yorkshire Bank.
Teaching And Learning
Independent study is a crucial part of learning at university and you will be required to undertake many hours of self-directed research and reading, and preparation and writing of assessments. Your course is delivered through a number of modules, which will help you to plan your time and establish a study routine. Outside of your lectures, workshops and tutorials, a range of support is available to assist with your independent study. Our subject-specific librarians will be on hand to direct you to the specialist learning and study-skill resources. You’ll also be assigned an academic advisor to give you tailored feedback and support.

You will graduate with an in-depth knowledge of the human dynamics of organisations, preparing you for a career in general management or HRM. Our graduates have successful careers in local government, business and the voluntary sector. We will nurture your entrepreneurial skills and you might choose to set up your own HR or training consultancy. This course is accredited by the CIPD to the Intermediate Diploma in HRM.
